Announcing SymphRonica
January 07 2009

Ron Davis is thrilled to announce a big new project for 2009: SymphRonica.

Ron + symphony orchestra. That's SymphRonica. Ron commissioned four composers / arrangers to work up eight of his original compositions (including Allelujah and The Climb), plus four covers (including The Way You Look Tonight and some J. S. Bach) for his trio and a full symphony. Result: a new sound. Rich. Multi-layered. Accessible. Different. Ron.

Six of the SymphRonica pieces will be premiered this winter. On February 7 (8:00pm) and 8 (2:00pm), Ron will perform with the Windsor Symphony, and its wonderful conductor John Morris Russell. The program is entitled To Oscar, With Love. Along with the SymphRonica tunes, Ron will perform selections with the trio, and two songs with Detroit vocal powerhouse Shahida Nurullah.

Watch out for more announcements about it throughout the year.
